As the president of the Sin City Outlaw Motorcycle Club, I fuck as hard as I ride and rarely go to bed alone.
The women are fast and the violence is intense.I excel in both.
People either respect me or fear me. I'm not arrogant. It’s just the truth. I was a king, reigning over Vegas without complication, until one gorgeous sheriff made everything fall apart. When I saw her, I became a Neanderthal, wanting nothing more than to be between those legs. I guess that’s where I went wrong, because my reality was shot to hell real fucking fast. One kiss caused her to step over that blue line. One night in her bed made me a traitor.
And now… we’re both screwed.

Book 1 in the new Sin City Outlaws series. This book is pretty much unrelated to The Devil’s Dust series, however, fans of that series will have met Zeek in The Lies between Us.

Jillian is coming to the end of her practical training and will soon be a proud Deputy in the Las Vegas Sheriff’s department. Jillian has always lived by the rules, but that’s bound to be the case when your stepfather happens to be the lieutenant in the force and of course now her boss. She can’t wait to finally go it alone and is determined not to let him or herself down, proving that she isn’t in the job because of family connections. But she soon find out she still has a lot to learn when she is called to an incident involving the infamous Sin City Outlaws MC and their President Zeek.

Zeek has been the President of the Sin City Outlaws since taking over from his father, following his death in prison. Hard, ruthless and a cold blooded killer, he rules his club with an iron fist. The only fly in the ointment is his uncle, an Italian hotel and casino owner with links to the Mafioso. Suddenly he feels like actions he may have taken in the past because of his uncle aren’t all as they seem. His uncle has far too much involvement in the club and indeed its members. It is time to declare who the real boss is. What he doesn’t need is a sexy new Deputy ruffling anyone’s feathers, least of all his.

What starts as a mutual attraction, soon develops into a connection that could mean the end of both Jillian’s career and Zeek’s reign. Will they be able to walk away with their hearts intact? Or will they sacrifice everything? Including their lives.

Okay, so I love the Devil’s Dust series. M.N Forgy writes MC romance really well. For the most past this book is no different. In all honesty it started a little slow for me, but then it got moving and by the end I was like WTF!

I seriously have to commend M.N though. Having read The Lies Between Us, I seriously wondered how in god’s name she was going to make Zeek a likeable character. Let me tell you he is a seriously tough cookie. Dark and completely unrepentant for his present and past actions, even as I read the 1st few chapters I just wasn’t quite sure how I could ever like his character. But like most men, it takes a woman to tame the beast, or certainly to expose a side to him that isn’t just likeable, but surprisingly quite loveable too. She makes him question himself, his club and of course the uncle that has been so instrumental in his rise to the top. As for Jillian, well Zeek adds a bend to her straight lace demeanour. She starts thinking about Jillian for once, starts enjoying life and becomes a happier person because of him.

Be warned this ends on a humdinger of a cliffy that quite frankly came out of no-where. Seriously, I couldn’t read the last few pages quick enough. It was a fab ending and one that has left me desperately anticipating, book 2 Mercy which we will have in April.

A little slow to start, but watch out, the drama and surprises then come thick and fast. M.N Forgy has for me cemented her reputation as an awesome MC romance author once again.
