These Royals will ruin you…
From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.
Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.
Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.
No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all. They may be right.
With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.
---------------
Q: Are you trying to kill us?
No, but we love Ella so much and her adventures with the Royals that we needed to write this third book. You’ll see when you read it.
Q: Who’s in this book? And don’t say Ella!
Ella, the five Royal brothers, and a few more huge surprises.

5 Star perfection yet again from the dynamite duo!

These Royals will ruin you, but you will enjoy every second of it!

This third book is almost impossible to review without planting spoilers because it really answers many questions whilst raising new ones in the form of ‘who did it’ that gave this book a high dose of suspense, differing in style from the previous two.

Ella has become a real favourite heroine of mine. She’s a ballsy character who has had to pick up the pieces time and time again – firstly as a young child; with a flighty Mother and little money, resilience has always been key but nothing tested her more than becoming embroiled with the Royals after her Mother lost her battle with cancer. Those precarious times are over in respect of her position within the family as she is now settled and loved by all, but none more so than Reed Royal.

Reed knows his heart, and in order to protect the ones he loves, he is desperately trying to keep Ella out of the brewing shit-storm that had been unleashed at the end of book two. Now a murder suspect, Reed’s innocence is jeopardised due to his love of fighting and reputation of carrying a short fuse, finding that proving his innocence is harder than it seems.

Ella is petrified of the investigation outcome and decides to do some detective work of her own – unfortunately it means getting close to the she-devil and a man she has only ever heard of by name.

With a boyfriend looking at jail time, a newly found over-bearing Father throwing his weight, and Brooke’s killer still very much walking the streets, for Ella and Reed it seems time is running out and only the innocent will suffer.

Princess Kelly
I really enjoyed this third installment and it was a great way to end the epic love story between Ella and Reed, albeit it was no easy ride. Twisted Palace certainly felt different to the other two books – where they focused more on Ella’s new twist of fate and the many issues plaguing the Royal boys in the aftermath of their Mothers death, this book was about coming together and finding answers, which ultimately helped them all grow closer as a family.

The secondary characters are great, and I can’t get enough of Easton, him and ‘filter’ just don’t go hand in hand and I love that about him. I’ve also been told that he will be getting his own book next which makes me a very happy bunny indeed.

But if I could take a vote (or beg…. are you listening, ladies?), I would love to learn more about Gideon. He is still very much a dark horse and closed off from the rest of the family, but after an event that transpired in this book, I’m hoping it will open doors for him and set him free, and I wanna see that man fly, (and get naked).

These Royals will ruin you, but trust me when I say, you will love every damn second of it.

From New York Times bestselling author, Samantha Towle, comes a new sexy, romantic suspense standalone novel...
Daisy Smith has spent eighteen months of her life paying for a crime she didn’t commit. Now out of prison, she has only one focus—to get back custody of her younger brother, Jesse, who is deep in the foster care system. Desperate to rebuild her life and show the system that she is responsible enough to care for Jesse, she takes on the only job available to her—working as a maid at the Matis Estate.
On day one of her new job, Daisy meets Kastor Matis, the only son of the owners and her new boss. An enigmatic, handsome Greek god of a man, Kas is closed off, cold, and…well, kind of a bastard.
The more time Daisy spends around Kas, she starts to see there might be more to him than just his cold, bastard ways. He may actually have a heart beating in that frozen chest of his.
But Kas has secrets, too. Secrets that he’s determined to keep.
Secrets make Daisy curious.
And you know what curiosity can do…

‘Unsuitable is unique, compelling, emotional and packed with tantalising suspense making it one incredible un-put-down-able read. One of my favourite books of 2016!!’ – Kelly, Perusing Princesses Blog.

From that heart in your throat Prologue to the closing sentence this story had me tethered tightly within its clutches and two days later is still refusing to let go.

Daisy Smith is my hero. As far as heroines go she is up there with the best of them. Her strength, determination and loyalty is admirable given the harsh hand she had been dealt in life. I cannot tell you how many times my eyes welled up reading her story, for me she was the ultimate female lead and I loved everything about her.

Kastor Matis on the other hand is a closed book. A dark, brooding, cold, sexy bastard who treated his new ex-con maid with so much unjustified disdain that I wanted to junk punch him so hard in the early chapters. His closed off persona compared to Daisy’s willingness to succeed made an interesting and entertaining combination, albeit an emotional one too.
PK circle 200
Kas isn’t all mean though as gradually those layers start to peel and what you find beneath is truly unimaginable, giving this book a true dramatic and suspenseful theme that had me turning each page in awe.

Samantha Towle has pulled no punches with Unsuitable. It is packed with injustices, heartbreak and loss whilst retaining that glimmer of hope and a promise of second chances. Her characters completely won me over and Kas and Daisy’s story is not one I will forget anytime soon.

Chastity Falls was supposed to be Ana Parry’s fresh start. But what started as her salvation soon became her undoing.
Four months after losing the very thing that gave her reason again, Ana is back at Chastity Falls. Holding on by a thread and trying hard to forget about Jackson isn’t easy when she’s determined to uncover the Donohue’s biggest secrets.
Jackson Pierce knew he was playing with fire when he pursued the girl with pain in her eyes. But there was something about her and he just had to know more.
Walking away from Ana was the hardest thing he’s ever done, and four months on, he refuses to forget. He can’t. Rising tensions with Reibeckitt Valley mean Ana is still in harm’s way and, this time, Jackson is determined to protect her—at all costs.
Loyalty drove them apart, but will secrets piece them back together? Or tear them apart for good?
Salvation will be earned, secrets will be unveiled. Welcome to Chastity Falls.

OMFG!!! What an ending. I am in love with this series. My review will come later, I need book 3, right the fuck now!

Two days later:

*And breathes*

This was a fantastic sequel that paved the way to stronger characterisation and a notch up on the danger scale. Jackson’s decision to walk away in the hope to protect Ana was a painful one, and with the added male POV, it really helped getting inside the head of the young man who has so much to lose in loving the broken girl from Florida.

Ana is going through the notions. The man who put her back together has walked away, and the pain from her past rears its ugly head. The need to distract herself from her internal suffering is manifesting into self-harm, reverting back to bad coping mechanisms that got her through last time. Luckily for her, she has friends who notice and just as she is getting her head back in the game, he is suddenly everywhere.

Ana and Jackson can only take so much, and desperation to be with the one you love outweighs the fear of being caught. Consequences be damned, but Braiden is watching, and it’s only a matter of time before the cards fall, and Jackson and Ana make a decision that make or break them for good.

Screen Shot 2015-11-07 at 7.59.30 AM
I am really enjoying this series, and the double POV narrative was a welcome addition to this sequel in the Chastity Falls Series, if anything it highlighted Jackson’s position and the dilemma he faces in letting an outsider into the corrupt family fold.

Ana, having a deep interest in investigative journalism is on a quest for answers, and they don’t come easily, but when they do the story goes from dramatic to dangerous which creates a power ending / gripping opener for book three – I just had to dive straight in.

Eighteen-year-old Savanah Parry just moved three thousand miles across state to escape. The memories…the whispers…the pain.
Chastity Falls Academy is supposed to be her fresh start; her salvation. And when Ana meets mysterious Jackson, she begins to think it is. She hasn’t smiled in almost sixteen months; not since the night her life changed forever, and despite her guilt…her loyalty, Ana can’t deny that Jackson is breathing life back into her. With Jackson by her side, Ana wants to believe she can heal and move on. But she isn’t the only one living a lie, and the small private Academy has secrets of its own. All is not what it seems, and Ana is about to find herself in a tangled web of lies; fighting for survival, again.
Loyalties will be tested, lies will be told. Welcome to Chastity Falls.

It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a college romance and this book, by far has got me back in to full swing with young love and the emotional and dramatic consequences that come with it.

From the offset, I knew our heroine had gone through a pretty tough ordeal. Her closed off persona and reluctance to push forward with new people in one of the most important and life changing moments in a person’s life was a sure tale of buried secrets and irreparable heartbreak that told of a broken girl battling demons at a pivotal time of her life.

Savannah Parry could play her part well but nothing was getting past her new and feisty Latina roommate, Elena. To keep up the pretense Ana has no choice but to attend the college parties and initiate herself as a fully fledged freshman in one of the smaller colleges in rainy Oregon. Leaving behind her life in Florida this new start could only be a good thing, that was until him…

Braiden Donohue is a household name. Captain of the Fallen football team he is not to be messed with, or turned down by a pretty girl he has his eye on for that matter. Terrified of his obnoxious advances, Ana is saved by a man hidden in the shadows, the best friend and right hand man of the one whose family holds power over the town.

Jackson is a sweet English major who befriends Ana, proving that not all college guys are out for one thing. Never has she been made to feel again since the accident that destroyed her world but his love for Shakespeare and poetry calls to her as a very private love story unfurls.

Braiden doesn’t forgive easily and as underground family business threatens the safety of those close, Ana finds herself stuck between a rock and a hard place when her world looks to crash around her for a second time.

And WOW… what a story this was! Yes, there is a real semblance of a deep and profound love story here but there is also a real underlying threat throughout that gave this book real dramatic impact and I’m still reeling from it.

At one point I wasn’t even sure if that undercurrent of fear was of the paranormal kind which proves that this story did keep you a little on your toes.

Jackson and Ana’s story is very much a modern day Romeo and Juliette, the likes of which I have come to adore but also hate due to hidden circumstances that threaten the very foundation of it. Life doesn’t always have happy endings but you literally hope and pray these characters find it.

L.A Cotton has done a fantastic job in creating a college romance with a twisted dark undertone that appealed even to a mature reader – I’m already halfway through the sequel and it only gets better.

A TRUE STORY told through the voice of New York Times Bestselling author E.K. Blair. *an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone book
She’s an author. She’s a mother. She’s a wife. She’s a fraud, a woman marked and bound by her own deceit.
Experience the astounding tale of how Anonymous battled through a year of scandals and betrayals, how her world fell from its axis with a single choice, and how she lost herself between reality and fantasy.
This is a stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition.

Also by this author: Author Anonymous

Dear E.K Blair

This is a new concept of book reviewing for me, but I felt the need to do something different, therefore I’ve decided to write you a letter.

I’m going to start off by saying you are one incredibly gifted, gutsy lady and I applaud you for writing such an honest, deep, and at times shocking account of the ultimate betrayal.

Reading this felt like diving into that little black book, a sexual diary with no filter and a total disregard of the consequences.

Did I love our Victoria aka Madilyn Kline? No, I didn’t. Like many readers, her betrayal was a bitter pill to swallow and not one I can condone, but what I will say is as a woman I could understand her need of escapism. Victoria is a writer, a weaver of words and a fantasist, to act upon those fantasies and taste the bite of forbidden fruit is not a crime, but a personal choice. That choice came with consequences, such as excitement, pleasure, guilt, lies and ultimately heartbreak. The way you weaved this story into one of sexual obsession was a real page turner and I take my hat off to you for taking the bull by the horns and putting this story out there. This author, whomever she is, was right to trust you with her story. And you know what, even if this is a marketing ploy which many have accused you of, it’s a genius move. Only you know the truth, and girl, hold onto it as tightly as you can.

As for our male counterpart, I could respect his penchant for honesty but I was never really sure what to make of him. His opening conversation of ‘why so secretive’ was ironic in a sense, because that was how I felt about him, he was pretty much a closed book whilst being a killer in the sheets. I can’t say he didn’t intrigue me, because he really did and stone me dead but I saw the appeal, I got it even though I believe she was more invested emotionally. I say emotionally, she lost herself completely and she will be the first to admit that.

Author Anonymous is that book that get tongues wagging and speculation coming from every corner, but from what I can tell the backlash has been unprecedented and completely unjust. This is a story that you had every right to tell, and even though it states this is a true story, it doesn’t mean that every reader has automatically gained a key to unlocking the mystery because that’s not what this story is about. Yes, I admit it won’t be to everyone’s taste, and for many cheating is a hard limit but that’s life. Life isn’t always sunbeams and rainbows, sometimes it’s challenging and hard. Many of us live each day best we can but that doesn’t mean someone or something is going to come along one day and throw you completely off your axis, turning your world upside down – that is what this book represents to me; it is a story of life’s trials and the concept that acting on ‘more’ may not necessarily be better; in this case it was a sure recipe for disaster and heartbreak.

There are no monsters here, just humans.

With utmost respect.

Yours Sincerely

Kelly – Perusing Princesses

Ravage is a compelling, twisted and addictive dark read and another great instalment in the Scarred Souls series.

‘I had survived the massacre that took my family, but lying here, I realised that the years spent away in hiding I was simply existing. And it took a monster to revive my heart. It took a killer to touch my soul.’ – Zoya

It all started with RAZE; my beautiful broken Bratva, it continued with REAP as we saw two notorious Russian crime families unite in the name of forbidden love, and now Tillie has given us our most tortured character of all in RAVAGE.

At only 12-years-old, Valentin swore to protect his 4-year-old sister from the monsters in the night. Having been subjected to neglect due to a junkie Mother, Valentin and Inessa were two forgotten children living out their days in an orphanage; a place that should have protected them.

They came in the night, the woman in black and the night wraiths that took innocent children away never to be seen again. Valentin head the whispers and for many months managed to thwart the gang by hiding in a secret place with his little sister, until one night his plans where scarpered.

Subjected to severe abuse and slavery and drugged with a manmade cocktail of narcotics that made him obey the most repulsive commands, Valentin became just another number in the underworld of death, that number was #194.

Brutal, scarred and a walking nightmare, #194 also had a secret; he never forgot who he was and what his Mistress has put them through, and one day promises revenge on them all. One last mission, one last hit and the promise of freedom may be in vain but it’s all he can hope for, for his sister’s sake – anything to get her out of the clutches of the Master.

PK circle 200

Zoya Kostava is a Georgian princess. Having watched her family die in a massacred attack and barely getting out alive herself, she has been living in fear and secrecy her entire life. When she hears that her only blood relative and favourite Brother has been found alive and in the company of the enemy, Zoya puts her own safety aside as she seeks out to meet him. Her plans go awry when a fearsome scarred monster captures her spying on his new target.

#194 puts the strange girl through her paces, knowing that one day soon she will break and tell him who she really is, but he never expected her story to resonate so deeply with him.

Two scarred and lost souls find each-other in the most terrifying and darkest of circumstances, as they fight for the freedom they never had and a love believed forever lost to them both.

RAVAGE was another compelling, dark, brutal and twisted read that still managed to capture an innocent and deeply passionate light. Wherever Tillie Cole goes, I am sure to eagerly follow as again, I cannot recommend this series, or her work highly enough.

The Bratva and Georgian fight is on but things are starting to take an exciting and detrimental turn, all in the name of love, brotherhood and ultimately…. Revenge.

I can’t wait for Inessa’s story, coming next!

It has been two days since I finished Deep Redemption and I haven’t picked up another  book since. It is no secret that I adore Tillie Cole; her ability to bleed words onto the page make for an unforgettable reading experience and Deep Redemption did not disappoint, proof that this series just goes from strength to strength.

Rider’s story was the one that I knew would come with a health warning. You cannot betray your MC Brothers and turncoat without going unpunished for your sins. Rider knew it, has accepted there can be no going back and yet as he sits in a dark cell, ashamed, broken and betrayed by his own blood, the prospect of ever finding freedom and being part of a family again turns his destined dream into a living nightmare.

The thought of such abhorrent child abuse acted in gods name within the commune he was destined to lead defies everything he is. Regardless of the Order teachings, Cain could never condone such brutality and in turn has branded him a traitor.

Judas has duped the commune and stolen his twin Brothers identity in order to enact revenge on the Hades Hangmen MC for killing the Elders in the previous book.

Desperate to escape and protect the innocent from his Brothers madness it seems all hope is lost, until her.

PK circle 400

Harmony has arrived from another commune and upon being branded a cursed is thrown in the cell next to Cain. Never revealing his true identity he gives her his road name, Rider as they become acquainted through the wall with quiet whispers.

Harmony may be a cursed but coming from a different commune their ways differed vastly from this new one in Texas. Living in a dark cell may not have been the welcome party she hoped for but Harmony didn’t come alone, she has friends, and those may be their only chance.

But escaping a cell is one thing, bringing down the commune and helping the innocent is another entirely. There may be a way… One way, but for Rider it will be like opening the gates to hell itself.

And OMG I have to say, out of all the Hangmen MC books, Rider is the character who is the most fearless and compassionate. His connection with Harmony is based on trust, hope and a determination to survive the unjust horrors thrown upon them since birth. To escape a world within a world knowing the outside could still prove just as damning.

This book is a non stop fight for freedom and survival whilst nurturing a love story that becomes so vivid and beautifully passionate I just couldn’t put this book down. The depth of emotion, pain and guilt makes way for strength and unrivalled determination as we see this series give birth to our strongest heroine yet. This woman isn’t no pushover, her love for Rider literally turns her into a force to be reckoned with and I absolutely loved her. Compared to the quiet Maddie, tortured Lilah and voice of reason, Mae, Harmony is the spine, the crutch that holds it all together and as a huge fan of this series  it was much welcomed.

Rider,  I can’t tell you what this guy goes through but I can tell you he’s my hero. I cried for him, I learned to respect him, he certainly redeemed himself in my eyes and pushed a brilliant series to a whole new level. I didn’t think much would rival Flame and Maddie’s story but this is up there as one of the best. Tillie Cole does it again!

These Royals will ruin you…
From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.
Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.
What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.
Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.
She might be right.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

The Royals are back and their high-school hierarchy is about to be tested, loyalty and the bond between Brothers is questioned and love is balancing on a precariously fine edge.

Broken Prince starts where Paper Princess ended, and those of you who have read it know how that one fared on the cliffy Richter-scale. I have been waiting ever so impatiently for this book and trust me when I say, the wait was worth it!

Ella is gone; after finding the man she loves with his own Fathers ex-girlfriend in a very compromising position, the hurt and betrayal is too much for the girl who fell desperately in love with her tormentor as she flees with a view of never returning.

PK circle 400

Reed Royal is furious at how those final moments unfolded and he has a lot of explaining to do, and he will, once he finds the girl who changed his life for the better. With Ella’s disappearance and the knowledge that it was his fault, for the first time the cracks are starting to show, at home and school as the Brothers go at each others throats like never before. Gideon is the only one who believes Ella is better off out of it, whilst Easton feels betrayed by the girl he considered his best friend. Reed is pissed and heartbroken and the twins are becoming more distant by the day.

Callum Reed is concerned for Ella and hires his best P.A to find his ward before she disappears forever, or worse, ends up dead.

Ella has vowed to never return, but when Callum catches up with her and blackmails her into coming back, she makes a decision to return knowing she only needs to make it two-years before college and legal access to her large inheritance. Easy… Until she sets foot into chaos, and realises that her leaving has put an incredible strain on not only the family, but on her own reputation.

Blackmail, betrayal, lust, hate, and love all play a riveting and fundamental part in this stunning sequel that will have you routing for your favourite couple and hoping like hell the enemies and new number one tormentor get their karma in the most unpleasant of ways.

Reed Royal is a great character whose fierce need to protect his family and the girl he loves knows no boundaries – even succumbing to the possibility that things will never be the same again, he steps up to the plate and promises to fight until the very end and I found his actions commendable. He’s an absolute hotty and after reading this sequel I love him more than ever.

Ella Harper is back and she’s not taking any prisoners. Even when the number one high school bitch takes things too far, her retorts are cutting and witty, all the while with a smile on her face and her head held high. I love a strong heroine and by the end of this book, I’m pretty sure you will have a whole new respect for her too.

For me though, Easton is my broken prince in this story, he is the most destructive and hurting in more ways than you can possibly imagine. Deep down he is that lost boy who misses his Mother and secretly craves his Father’s respect, and I hope he gets his own story on what is fast becoming one of my favourite YA contemporary series’ ever!

If you loved Paper Princess, you will love Broken Prince and that ending… OMG! Another hit on that Richter-scale peeps, but what a great opening and a thickened plot for book 3. I. CAN’T. WAIT! READ IT!

Take one last ride with Keiran and Lake and the rest of the Broken Love gang in this fifth and final installment as they face stronger enemies and bigger obstacles while fighting to hold tight to the tattered existence of their love.
When faced with broken love…
Have you ever had the feeling you were a stranger? Out of reach, I watched and mourned me. Nothing moved. Breathed. Nothing lived. I was in an alternate universe. No longer an innocent. I had blood on my hands, and I wasn’t even sorry for it. I was only afraid for Keiran. Of his reaction when the shock wore off. It would be an explosion. Of hurt, anger, and mistrust. He’d know I lied. And to him… The betrayal born of my good intentions is worse than the act of murder.
…will you succumb to fear…
She was supposed to be my light. The one who saved me from the monster. But when I looked in her eyes that day, I didn’t see her. I only saw my father’s killer.

What a series finale! I swear to all that is sexy and sinfully unholy I have a severe case of whiplash after this final instalment. Lake Monroe is my hero’ine’! From kidnap to prison, to mending the shattered pieces of a past that still haunts, Keiran and Lake still have some precarious bridges to cross, only this time there is no going back…

PK circle 400

The gang are back together one final time for what is the closing chapter of an epic series. This series incorporated everything I long for… hate to lust, the need to possess, protect, love… and ultimately, kill. What started in Fear Me as a toxic love story hell bent on revenge, turned into an all – consuming, passionate love story that will stand up against any obstacle, even the threat of death.

Angst-ridden, sexy, addictive and totally alpha – The Broken Love series is an unmissable treat. Read this series, now!

Another incredible instalment in the Broken Love series. It was great to finally understand Dash and Willow’s relationship, one that started with cruel intentions turned into the unfathomable… Love, obsession, hurt, betrayal and understanding. Willow may have been the ‘best friend’ and wild card but she is tough and I loved her endurance when faced with life – threatening situations.

Dash has certainly grown into his own. Gone is the high-school pillar of strength, now a CEO of a multi – national conglomerate he has wealth, power and an insatiable need to finally take what is his, but nobody said it was going to be easy.

The plot thickens in this book, and with more bodies on the pile it is still abundantly clear that nobody is safe… but nothing prepared me for that ending!! OMFG!

BB Reid has created a thrilling and sexy series with grit and alpha men to die for. I never want it to end but all good things must, so… Book 5 here I come.

KEENAN
It’s been four years since I ran away—from home, my brother, and my maybe father. I created a life free of expectations while pretending I wasn’t being hunted by all of the above. I managed to stay under the radar all this time… or so I thought. When big brother shows up and saves my ass, I’m forced to face everything I left behind, including her.
SHELDON
It’s been four years since I became another statistic. I made a lot of mistakes when it came to Keenan Masters. The first was loving him at all. He took something from me the night he left, and when I told him I still loved him, he told me he’d always hate me. After that, I learned how to be okay… until he came back. Gone was the boy who always knew how to make me laugh, and in his place was a cold, arrogant monster.

Where has my sweet Keenan gone?

I had mixed emotions with this book, I did enjoy it and read it within a day but I was concerned at first that it was another Keiran and Lake do-over. I felt Keenan was trying too hard to be like his now estranged and dangerous sibling, although my concerns changed later on in the book when those glimpses of the real Keenan started to shine.

Sheldon is now a woman with huge responsibilities. A failure to her high social standing parents, her only saving grace is the support from her twin Brother Dash, and her highly dysfunctional close friends.

Secretly pining for the man she walked away from to protect her heart is a regret she has everyday, so when he comes plummeting back into her life, secrets are revealed and with it a turmoil of hurt and betrayal.

PK circle 400

When Keenan’s thirst for revenge takes over, Sheldon is planted firmly in the firing line. She doesn’t recognise the boy she loved in high school, all she sees is the cold, calculating monster as he keeps her prisoner in his home in LA. There is only one thing that can unite them, they just have to hope that it isn’t too late.

I can’t give that clue away for fear of spoilers but I can tell you how much this story threw me for a loop. Keenan’s bitterness aside, what Sheldon also goes through is every woman’s nightmare but it didn’t stop me from being riveted from the start.

Another twisty, gripping, lust-filled read from the amazing BB Reid.

I really am in love with this series. Onto book 4!

Whoa! I’m applauding Lake right now, that girl finally got bite. I absolutely love this series and how the tables have turned is exhilarating. The lust is off the scales and falling in love with someone you hate doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t do what you think is right.

I don't believe in fairy tales and Prince Charming.
I believe in fear.
He taught me how to be afraid.
We first met on a playground on a wonderful summer day. It was the first time he hurt me and it wouldn’t be the last. For ten years, he's been my tormentor and I've been his forbidden. But then he went away, and yet I was still afraid.
Now he's back and wants more than just my tears. You see...he thinks I sent him away so now he wants revenge...and he knows just how to get it.
PLEASE READ THE WARNINGS. This book is a new adult and contains rough elements such as harsh language, mild violence, strong sexual content, alpha male, antihero, blackmail, and dubious consent.
Fear Me, in all, contains sensitive themes many people aren’t able to swallow.

I love a book that pushes boundaries, makes you question your own morals and the authors sanity. Keiran is a very disturbed and complex character and yet I was so intrigued by him. Lake, the victimised innocent girl whose life was ruled by a boy whose hatred shone so bright, her only way to survive was live each day in fear, but with age comes new obstacles and the boy who hated and the girl who feared becomes a battle of frenzied and confusing well of lust and obsession.

I can’t say I loved every minute of this book, it truly made me uncomfortable at times but I knew there was more to the desperately angry young man but I didn’t quite expect that backstory! You wish you can hate him but in the end you just find yourself becoming obsessed with his benevolence because you wanted Lake to either break through or break out and teetering on that edge of the unknown is what made this book for me. Lake was always on a mission of fight or flight, but you just didn’t know what way it was going to go and that ending had me reaching for book two in an instant.

Aggressive. Dark. Addictive. Fear Me is everything its title depicts, but even fear can be too GD sexy for its own good. Welcome to my new dark and deeply disturbing obsession.

They call me Rage.My real name is like a shadow, always close behind, but never quite able to catch up.I fly under the radar because no one ever suspects I’m capable of the kind of brutal violence I commit each and every day.You see, I’m a girl. I’m nineteen. And I'm a killer. This life is all I know. It’s all I want to know. It keeps the s**t buried that I need kept buried. It allows me to live without thinking too much.Without dwelling on the past.Until him.It all changes when an ordinary boy becomes my next target. And my first love.I have to choose. The only life I’ve ever known has to die, or he does.Either way, I’ll be the one pulling the trigger...

We have had the pleasure of sexy, intimidating alphas in King and Bear, now it’s time for them to take a back seat as we bow down to this ultimate kick-ass heroine, Rage. I loved this germophobe, OCD, ball-busting character in Soulless and I was thrilled when I heard she was getting her own book, and by all that is explosive, murderous and very ungodly, All the Rage did not disappoint.

From a lost young girl with no Hope of ever feeling normal, to a woman who finally embraced her dangerous side to become one of the most feared assassins in the Floridian State. Dubbed the Angel of Death by many, Rage is known for her calculating, cold professional demeanour. She no more batters an eyelash at pulling the trigger than she does changing her scooter headlight. No remorse. No Prisoners. No regrets. Making her one of the most respected in the business.

PK circle 400

Leaving her home and her only friend, Cody, at sixteen, Rage was taught everything she knows by her mentor and friend, Smoke; a nomad contractor whose loyalties lie with no-one. And he has taught her well.

When a new job comes in to grill a young ice hockey player for information on his parents, Smoke knows just the person for the job. Rage hates babysitting duty but she owes Smoke everything, and reluctantly agrees to the new position at hand.

Nolan is cursing the fates that be. In one moment he is destined for a scholarship and career in the NHL, the next bound to a wheelchair with a leg cast after a calculated knife attack. His career seems over before it has even began.

Still recovering from the loss of his grandparents, Nolan finds refuge and solace staying in their beach side home with his little French bulldog, Murray.

After a near fatal drowning incident, Nolan is thankful to the beautiful blond girl who pulled him from the depths, only to have his thanks thrown back at him with contempt. Rage (Short for Regina), never wanted to play the hero but if it means getting answers then it is what the job requires.

She never expected him to be open to her quirks, find her amusing, beautiful or sexy. Her secret is what keeps him alive, but what Rage isn’t counting on is Nolan having secrets of his own, and ones that don’t seem too dissimilar from the world in which she resides…

All the Rage is a gripping, pure adrenaline rush of a read that flays open a disturbed and complex character shedding light on how she became to be. She may be one crazy, unconventional bitch, but it takes a strong and possibly crazier man to reign in the ‘rage’ and Nolan will have you running rings; he really is something else and what a wonderful surprise he was too. He is anything but ordinary.

An amazing standalone read that compliments the King series perfectly.

Damon Atwood was Hollywood’s golden boy. Having won an Oscar at the tender age of thirteen, he had the life many could only dream about. But his success came at a price, and after a short but fruitful film career, he chose to live a life of obscurity on a remote Scottish island. Almost a decade later he’s finally ready to make his return, starting with a lead role in a musical on London’s West End.
As a choreographer’s assistant, Rose Taylor has always faded into the background. She watches shows come to life from the side lines, but has never craved the attention of stardom. When rumours begin circulating of Damon’s involvement in her latest gig, she doesn’t predict how she will be thrust into the limelight, nor how the mysterious and strangely introverted man will need her to teach him how to be a star again.
Rose knows that show crushes don’t last. Actors fall for each other during the intensity of a production, often losing themselves in their roles. These kinds of affairs burn bright and then they fade. The question is, should Rose let herself shine with Damon, or guard her heart from being broken after the final curtain call?

Showmance is a stunning portrayal of love and friendship written in a provocative, sexy and sympathetic prose that delivers in every way.

L.H Cosway is a story nurturer, her characters grow, finding themselves and strength in each other and as a reader we get to connect so vividly, so ardently to the pressures, fears and undeniable attractions that we are literally swept up in a whirlwind of the very best kind.

Rose and Damon’s story is very much founded on friendship, understanding, trust and loyalty whilst battling inner hardships and past demons that continue to plague even the most talented and kind-hearted.

Damon Atwood seemed to have it all from a very young age. A respected and much loved childhood actor, winning an Oscar set his career soaring, that is until he disappeared from the limelight to live a life of recluse in the Isle of Skye with his beloved Grandmother.

PK circle 400

Her passing has left a gaping hole, and ten years later it is time to find himself again, but not in the bright lights of Hollywood, but on a live stage in the London West-End.

Rose hasn’t had the most conventional upbringing. Her roommate Julian understands that all too well as they both find affection and solace within the arms of others. Rose loves too easily, whereas Julian struggles to find love at all. They are the perfect Yin and Yang and their friendship, although forged as children is the only safe haven they know. Despite all this she is a highly accomplished dancer and choreographer about to embark on a new project; Moulin Rouge.

She never wanted to see her actor ex again, certainly not on this new production after the way he cast her aside, and she certainly never expected to be completely enamored by the dark,  brooding reclusive main lead. Her heart is bruised and her head is telling her to not get involved again, yet she sees the vulnerability in his eyes and his awkwardness that mirrors her own and that alluring pull is a calling siren as two remarkably talented people learn what it means to truly connect for the first time at a pivotal time in their lives.

This book was a wondrous joy to read. A slow build love story with enough sexual tension to raise the theatre roof. You root for them from the start and the way the author nurtured their journey to one another whilst highlighting the stage production of Moulin Rouge and their character connection was an awakening and truly enjoyable experience. To say Damon Atwood dazzled me would be an understatement, I actually love him.

L.H Cosway has firmly planted herself in my favourite contemporary indie author list and I cannot wait for Julian’s story in the sequel coming in 2017.

4.5 ‘Things to do before I die’ Crowns

The Ending I Want was an erotic tale with heart and I adored every single minute. If there is one good thing that Samantha Towle is good at, that is giving us strong characters who are not afraid to explore their more adventurous side, and this book delivers a hard-hitting, sexy, and un-put-down-able reading experience with a protagonist to die for. Even though this story is very hot between the sheets, it doesn’t deter away from the fact that this is very much the beginning of the end for our heroine, Taylor Shaw.

From the offset we know that this very brave young woman is on borrowed time as her aggressive brain tumour returns, but in knowing that, as a reader you get to appreciate her final journey in a way that will have you smiling at her fearless audacity, because let face it, what else has she got to lose?

PK circle 400

Armed with a bucket list and a final wish to see the country that her beloved parents first met, Taylor is ready for the adventure ahead, and ticking off those wishes her ode to a final farewell. It all starts on her outbound journey when ‘kiss a stranger’ gets marked off a little sooner than she expected when the beautiful man in the next seat becomes her travelling companion from Boston USA to London, UK. Losing her list to said man gives him a slight advantage when it soon becomes clear that this Boston girl needs a dose of adventure ‘British style’ as he promises to help tick off her list one-by-one, starting with the all-important promise of the best ‘oral sex’ that money can’t buy!

Taylor wants the dream; the movie moment, the risky outdoor sex and to stare her worst fear in the face, but she never wanted to fall in love. Not here. Not now. Not when she owes her family her life. Not when she has decided that leaving this earth to be with her loved ones penance for the guilt and responsibility she harbours for their tragic deaths.

Liam Hunter doesn’t do relationships, but he does do sex, and boy… does he do it well! This Boston girl is different to the others, she’s fun, feisty, a little adventurous and a hell of a lot mysterious and when Liam Hunter wants something, he will fight tooth and nail to get it…

This book was a fun read even though the theme was serious and somewhat upsetting. What starts as two strangers having a little fun turns into more, and as the relationship grows, the secret of Taylor’s illness becomes harder to hide or ignore. No good can come of finding the perfect partner when time is limited… the key is to make the most of it, and move on, but as we all know, nothing is ever that simple, and even though Taylor has made her decision, Liam Hunter is not the kind of man who takes no for an answer, and herein lies the real core of this story.

I enjoyed the dynamics of the plot and whereas this could have been another ‘bucket list’ read, the way the characters connected and his abrasive but sexy alpha exterior made this a real sexy read with Liam Hunter now making the hotty alpha book boyfriend list. Hell yeah… he just did it for me and I enjoyed every second.

I didn’t find this book overly emotional and I was actually quite thankful for that – but the post book hangover is a bitch! 😉

Step right up and meet Jay Fields: Illusionist. Mentalist. Trickster.
I think in triangles. You think in straight lines.
I show you a table and make you believe it’s a chair.
Smoke and mirrors, sleight of hand, misdirection. I trick and deceive.
But most of all, I put on a good show.
The world thinks I killed a man, but I didn't. Bear with me. It’s all a part of the plan.
Revenge is what I want. I want it for me and I want it for her.I want it for all six of us.
She doesn't remember me, but she’s the reason for everything. She’ll be my prize at the end of all this–if I can hold onto my willpower, that is. Maybe I’ll slip up a little, have a taste, just a small one.
So go ahead and pick a card. Come inside and see the show. Look at my hands, look so closely that you can’t see what’s happening while you’re so focused on looking. I’ll be destroying your world from right here in the spotlight.
You’ll never see me coming until it’s too late.
I've only got one heart, and after I've pulled off my grand deception I’ll hand it right to her.
So, sit back, relax, and let my girl tell you our story. You’re in for one hell of a ride.

If you are looking for a unique, well thought-out, perfectly executed read, then Six of Hearts delivers in droves. This book is a myriad of mystery, magic, sex and revenge wrapped in one glorious package and I wish I had taken the time to read it sooner.

Matilda and Jay’s story is a nurturing read that builds to an explosive conclusion that will have you teetering on the edge of your seat.

As this is very much a smoke and mirrors magical thrill ride with enough sexual tension to choke a horse, I don’t want to give anything away in terms of the plot, but I will say, as much as the backdrop of this story is about putting rights to a terrible wrong, fundamentally it is a tale of friendship, family and love. To have incorporated those strong elements with an illusionist as a main character was a tricky (pardon the pun) move but my goodness, did it work!

Princess Kelly

Matilda is a breath of fresh air; the banter and quick witty comebacks were a highlight for me but Jay Fields is an alpha with serious sex appeal and a mysterious intrigue that is unrivalled. Everything makes sense at the end and when that gauntlet falls and everything becomes clear, you realise what a remarkable character he is, and you will undoubtedly fall completely under his spell.

L.H Cosway is a gifted writer who seems to have a good few tricks up her sleeve, and I can’t wait to continue with this series.

They call me a slut. Maybe I am.Sometimes I do things I despise.Sometimes men take without asking.
But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle.
Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take.He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything.I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.
He’s my obsession, my master, my music. And my teacher.

Also by this author: Dark Notes

‘This brutal man is my home. His hell is my heaven. I’m his Ivory, and he’s my darkest note. No matter what happened, I will never resent this, I’ll never regret him.’

Pam Godwin never ceases to amaze me, I adore everything she writes because not only is it written exceedingly well but her art in tackling the darker elements of romance with such fearless honesty is admirable. Her words flow with poetic ardour, so tragic and heart-breaking, followed by a touch of bright side in the form of a romantic connection between two complex and beautifully nurtured characters creating the perfect balance between light and dark.

Dark Notes offered everything I want in a story. If you are a fan of Dark Romance that tackles very harsh, very real issues then you will not go far wrong with this book. In saying that though, put on your big girl panties because this book packs one hell of a punch right from the offset. There is no downplaying it, Ivory’s story is horrific – her home life is a day-to-day fight for survival.

PK circle 400

It wasn’t always like this, she once had a Father who idolised her, a bigger Brother who protected her, and a Mother who once held her hand, but everything was ripped away one fateful day in her Father’s piano bar. With his tragic death life as she once knew it changed forever when her Father put everything he had into an exclusive school that practices the musical arts. Ivory’s dream was about to come true, a last passing gift from Father to Daughter, unfortunately it left the family in dire financial circumstances which created a torrent of emotional anger and hate from those closest to her.

Emeric Marceaux is a walking mass of stern intimidation. His new post at this exclusive school is no accident due to his incredible talent and strong networking connections. Reluctantly, he has made a promise to push though the principle’s brat into an exclusive college in New York and it should have been an easy promise to keep, that is until the poor girl with the holes in her shoes shows him that you cannot buy talent, you are born with it. Through sheer fight, love and determination Ivory is a beautiful broken contradiction; she’s beautiful, talented, outspoken and infuriating – everything Emeric looks for in a woman. He becomes enamoured to the point of obsessed, and when Emeric wants something, he will go to any lengths to get it.

From an abusive home, and turning tricks to pay the bills, to becoming a permanent fixture in Emeric Marceaux’s life, Ivory’s story is not an easy one, and as much as she admires her teacher, Emeric is not an easy man – he’s a dominant. At first it is pure fascination, her new safe place, until it becomes so much more…

Emeric and Ivory may have found something unique and special. A relationship based on honesty and physical pleasure, but every day creates a new risk, exposure being the most dangerous one of all.

Keeping their relationship secret whilst battling Ivory’s demons is what made this story tick. Each new challenge was fought with sheer determination and a will to succeed. Ivory is a tortured heroine with soul and a strength that is unfounded and I wanted her to have her HEA, and the magic here is you just didn’t know or even guess which way it was going to go and I loved that.

Dark Notes in intense, darkly atmospheric, gripping and sinfully sexy.

Emeric can play me like a Steinway any day!

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Sunday than wrapped up in the warm cocoon of my bed with this addictive, show-stopping read.

To grow up living out of a suitcase was all Ella Harper knew. With a single working Mom trying desperately hard to make ends meet by using what god gave her, Ella didn’t have roots, family or a real friend to her name, but she did have one thing; gumption.

This girl could work three jobs and still get top marks in school. Losing her Mother to cancer was the hardest challenge she ever had to face, staying ahead of the foster care system and forging her Mother’s signature in a new town so she can stay in school proves her resourcefulness and her maturity, but her dream of remaining anonymous in her pursuit of freedom is thwarted when a trip to the principle’s office one afternoon changes not only her current course but her entire life.

Callum Royal is a household name in aviation. A successful multi-millionaire who, until only recently found out that his best friend and business partner had an illegitimate child. It was a quick relationship 18 years ago, but before he had the chance to meet his Daughter, tragedy struck again when Steven O’Halloran was killed in a gliding accident.

Fulfilling his best friend duties, Callum is on a mission to get the young girl away from the same ‘seedy’ lifestyle her Mom took, and give her a life, a home that Steven would have rightfully provided her – there is just one problem; not only does he have to convince this closed off feisty girl of his good intentions, but the biggest battle is convincing his sons…all five of them.

And wow, what a hell of a read this was. Ella Harper was literally thrown into the lions den, but how she strategised and coped with everything thrown at her was admirable that it had me rooting for her every step of the way.

From squalor to a multi-million dollar home on the beach, and an exclusive private high-school education, Ella was out of her depth many times and the Royal sons were to blame for it all. The Daughter of a stripper residing with the highly respected, powerful Royal sons household an embarrassment to their family name. Their minds are made up and nothing is getting in the way of them breaking her. Nothing.

That is until Gideon, Reed, Easton, Sawyer and Sebastian realise that you can’t really break something that is more powerful than you are. Because in a world of wealth and power there are still demons, there is still pain, and Ella understands that more than most. New-found respect, friendship, even love comes to play a pivotal role, but nothing could have prepared Reed Royal for the blond, blue eyed hurricane about to knock him off his feet.

A battle of wills, a test of strength, and a family living on the edge, this is one book that will have you turning the page with fervour and relishing every second. That ending was a real angst-ridden gutsy move but my goodness did it work. Book two cannot come fast enough for me.

Reed Royal, I’m all yours!

Silence is only skin deep.
Nineteen year old Daniel Colton is the guy all the girls want to date, and the man all the guys want to be. Moody, with an explosive temper, closed off and sullen, he’s also beautiful, tatted in delicious ways, with a pierced eyebrow and spiky black hair. It’s rumoured he has piercings in other places, too. Is he really mad, bad and dangerous to know?
Daniel lives with his older brother, Zef, and their home is party central. You want drugs, a good time, liquor, no questions asked? Colton’s is the place to go.
When Daniel and good girl Lisanne Maclaine have to work together on an assignment, Lisanne finds there’s a lot more to the college’s bad boy than his reputation. He’s intelligent and funny and good company. And then she discovers his secret, why he’s so closed off to everyone, and determined to keep people at arms’ length. But being his secret-keeper is harder than she ever dreamed.
Recommended for readers 18+ due to sexual references and sex scenes, some coarse language, drug references and drug use.

Why, oh why, did I not read this book sooner? It’s no secret that Jane Harvey-Berrick is one of my favourite authors,  I love her prose, her ability to pull you into a new world with strong and likeable characters, but I had no idea this college based romance was going to hit my all-time favourite YA list. I say YA loosely simply because the characters are based in college but trust me ladies…  Daniel Colton is all man!

This is a hard review to write as the synopsis covers the fundamentals perfectly, and yet this is no quick read. The challenges that both Daniel and Lisanne face together are hard but admirable and I fell in love with their story every step of the way.

To the world outside Daniel has it all. He’s a smart, sexy, Harley riding bad boy that the girls can’t seem to get enough of and the guys secretly wish they were.

Lisanne McClaine is a small town girl in a very big pond. College is a much welcomed eye – opening experience and her naivety may be endearing to some but to others it has her easily sinking into the shadows of her more zealous and worldly peers.

Two young adults from opposite sides of the tracks come together accidentally only to realise that they may be different in so many ways, but together they can create something extraordinary.

A delicious tale of one man’s challenge to fit-in in a place of conformity and a young woman’s determination to prove that anything is possible if you choose to accept who you are and fight for what you truly want.

Fans of college based romances need to read this if you haven’t already!
