The newest novel from New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase.

Head of the class...

Garrett Daniels has this whole life thing figured out.

The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy — he's platinum. He has good friends, a great house on the lake, and the best damn sidekick a man could ask for: Snoopy, the albino beagle.

Then...Callie Carpenter comes home.

And knocks him right on his tight end zone.

Back to school...

Callie has a pretty sweet life herself...on the other side of the country. But circumstances — that she'd prefer to never speak of again — have brought her back home, helping out her parents and substitute teaching at her old high school.

Now she's facing bickering, raging hormones, constant gossip, awkward weirdness, and drama galore...and that's just the teachers.

Just like old times...

When Garrett offers to show his former high school sweetheart the secrets of his winning teacher ways, Callie jumps at the chance - and then has to stop herself from jumping him.

Good friends are all they can ever be.

Or...these teachers just might end up getting schooled — by love.

"Passion, pleasure, and princely responsibilities make this sexy fairy tale a real page turner." —Audrey Carlan, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Calendar Girl
Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness,” is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant―hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.
Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.
Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.
Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be. There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately―the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.
But to Olivia―Nicholas is worth it.
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King... or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

pp-review-kellyRoyally Screwed is a funny, sexy, lighthearted read that provides the perfect escapism. I am in awe; totally enamored with this story of duty, love and what one is willing to sacrifice in the wake of finding that soul fulfilling happiness, even if it goes against everything you have been taught.

For Nicholas Pembroke being next in line to the throne comes with huge responsibility and a respect for royal tradition. Sowing wild royal oats is a perk that has a lingering sell by date when the Queen demands he soon find a wife born from nobility and from their birth home of Wessco.

Prince Henry, the ‘spare’ has been on a permanent bender since he took leave from the armed forces. Nicholas has been given the task to bring him home, along with attending some charity events on behalf of the Queen in New York.

Olivia is a hardworking coffee shop owner in Manhattan struggling to make ends meet. When a charismatic, good looking, drunk arsehole propositions her to spend the night with him for $10,000 instead of biting his hand off, she throws pie in his face and asks him to leave. Nicholas, upon being sober realises his mistake and goes back to apologise. He is pleasantly surprised that she has no clue who he is.

Olivia can’t help but be attracted to his honest arrogance, and it’s not long before she can keep saying no to his advances, even knowing his stay is only for a short while.

From here the story really heats up with some incredibly hot scenes that are lighthearted and fun, but intimacy paves way to emotions and Olivia knows that no matter how close she gets, their time together is temporary. She cannot keep him, and Nicholas knows she can never truly be his. The heart wants what it wants, but the Crown will always come first.

This story takes our heroine from the hustle and bustle streets of New York to the elaborate Royal Palace of Wessco, but living the fairy-tale is never as it seems when a country that Nicholas was born to rule, could never open their hearts to a foreign commoner.

Love, Loyalty, Heartbreak and Sacrifice are all here, as well as the comical injection of genius that Emma Chase is known for – this book has a little bit of everything and I fell in love with it from epilogue to prologue. Unleash your inner princess and fall in love with a royal or two… trust me, you won’t regret it.

There was a time when Jake Becker had it all together. He was controlled, driven, ruthless—in and out of the courtroom.
Then, six irresistible orphans and their heartbreakingly beautiful aunt crashed into his perfectly ordered life. They changed everything. They changed him. Now he’s a husband, an upstanding member of society, a father figure—a family man. And he’s pretty damn good at it.
Sure, he has to referee sibling smackdowns, re-learn algebra, ensure his clients stay of jail, and keep his wife happy—but it finally feels like he’s got it together again....
So, of course something has to screw it all up. It’s huge. Life-changing. Kind of terrifying.
And it will be the most amazing, perfect thing he’ll ever do.

4.5 Crowns

Book 3.5 in the Legal Briefs series. This is a novella concluding the series and must be read after reading the brilliant first 3 books in the series.

Ever wondered what happened next? I think we all do after finishing a series that we have really enjoyed. Well Emma Chase has done just that with Sidebarred. Call it an extended epilogue if you wish, but this little novella really did put the cherry on top of a most satisfying cake.

We are back with Jake and Chelsea, and of course their mad house full of six very sweet kids. All a bit older and still testing their guardian’s patience at every turn, life couldn’t get more hectic or better for them… or could it?

PEm circle 200

I was so pleased when I saw this book. Having loved the 3 previous instalments, I couldn’t wait to see where Emma Chase would take this one. Having loved all the characters, and you will get to see them all, I was really pleased that she focused on Jake and Chelsea. Their story was my favourite; not just because of the change 7 people made to Jake’s proud bachelor status, but also because I loved the kids in the story and couldn’t wait to see how life was treating them all several years later. I’m not going to spoil it for you by saying anymore, but from someone that isn’t particularly fond of novella’s, I seriously loved this book.

Emma’s writing is fluid, funny and contains a whole gamut of emotions. She has a real talent for making a light-hearted book stay with you. I believe it’s because she writes brilliant characters that have real light and shade to them, even if their stories are filled with her signature humour. Emma Chase does not know how to write a boring book that’s for sure!

The ending was perfect and left me with only 1 question. When’s the next book out, Emma? I seriously can’t wait.

When Brent Mason looks at Kennedy Randolph, he doesn’t see the awkward, sweet girl who grew up next door. He sees a self-assured, stunning woman…who wants to crush the most intimate - and prized - parts of his anatomy beneath the heels of her Christian Louboutins.
Brent has never let the loss of his leg in a childhood accident affect his ability to lead a fulfilling life. He sets high goals–and then he reaches them.
And now he has his sights set on Kennedy.**When Kennedy looks at Brent Mason, all she sees is the selfish, Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue-worthy teenager who humiliated her in high school to join the popular crowd. A crowd that made those years a living hell.
She’s not a lovesick social outcast anymore - she’s a DC prosecutor with a long winning streak behind her. Brent is the opposing attorney in her next case and she thinks it’s time to put him through a little hell of his own.
But things aren’t exactly working out that way.
Because every fiery exchange has her wondering if he’s as passionate in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom. Each argument and objection only makes him want her more. In the end, Brent and Kennedy may just find themselves in love…or in contempt of court.

APPEALED is a sexy, humorous romance about first crushes, second chances and the final verdict of the heart.

4.5 Crowns

Book 3 in The Legal Briefs series. This book can be read as a standalone, as can the previous 2 books in the series.

So we finally come to Brent Mason’s story. Unlike his partners, Brent comes from old money. His family are rich. That doesn’t mean they aren’t close, oh no, they are as close as can be… A bit too close for Brent’s comfort at times. Ever the bachelor, he is the last singleton standing from the close group he calls friends as well as partners in the legal firm they set up together. He is happy for them all, but he intends to remain single and free to enjoy the women that flock to him; who wouldn’t? Having overcome the loss of his leg in an accident as a child, he has never let it stand in his way. (Excuse the pun – Brent would LOL!) He is laid back, loyal and genuine. He is also bloody good at his job and thrives in defending at times the indefensible. But his skills are about to be put to the test in more ways than one. When a face from his past stands opposite him in a courtroom, all bets are off. He intends to win his case, but will he win the woman as well?

Kennedy Randolph was your typical ugly duckling growing up. Never good enough for her glamorous mother or older sister, the one person she could rely on was the boy who lived next door (well in this case the nearest mansion). They were best friends and nothing could come between them; or so she thought. Suddenly her best friend became her nemesis and her final years in school were hell. Now she is back. Beautiful, glammed up to the max and a kick arse prosecutor to boot. She intends to show Brent he was silly to disregard her all those years ago, making him pay for the hurt he caused… that’s if she can avoid falling into bed with him first.

If you have read an Emma Chase book before, you will know that her books are full of humour, are light hearted and perfectly enjoyable. But above all else, Emma writes the most awesome males. They tend to lead her books and it seems to be her forte. She gets into a man’s mind so well and unlike some authors, realistically as well. I think it makes her books that little bit unique and I cannot think of a better author for this type of male led romantic comedy. Appealed is no different to any of its predecessors.

The final book in the series, Appealed was the perfect finale for what has been a bloody brilliant series. 1 woman, 3 men and 1 law firm. Each story has been different and each characters personality so far removed from the previous characters book. Brent so didn’t disappoint. I had loved him from book 1 for the laid back, loyal guy he came across as. Rich, but having endured hardships, he wears his heart on his sleeve, is grounded, and is the balanced voice of reason throughout the series. He is very much the chaser in his story, and Kennedy is the perfect woman for him. Kennedy challenges him in more ways than one, she is one tough dudette. Confident, hard arsed and spectacular at her job, Brent remains her only weakness, and the only person that may or may not be able to crack that hard exterior.

PEm 180

A brilliant conclusion to another fab series by the awesomeness that is Emma Chase. I love her characters, the situations she puts them in, the fun, frolics and swoon worthy moments that they all eventually lead to. I highly recommend Appealed and the previous 2 books in the series – Sustained and Overruled. I now wait with baited breath on her next releases. They are an automatic one-click and an absolute joy to read.

Princess-Elizabeth-300x252

Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph.  She is the awkward geeky girl next door, He is the cute nerdy lifelong friend.  They grew up together in a very privileged life, having each other to make things bearable.  They each pined for each other while their friendship grew in their youth… then, due to circumstances beyond their control after finally opening their hearts to each other, they are torn apart.

Kennedy goes awol for years… she is shattered and needs to get away from Brent.  Brent is broken hearted, and innocent in what happened.  He never forgets her and she never forgets him.  When destiny plays a part in their lives and brings them together, can they get over the hurt and remember the love, the fun, the friendship?

I have really missed reading Emma Chase.  I love her other books, and had forgotten what an amusing breath of fresh air it is to read her.  She is beyond witty and I was laughing so hard with the verbal play between Brent and Kennedy, and especially all the silliness that is Brent in his mind!  Emma always writes original stories, with real characters that you just can’t help but fall for!

Can not wait for the next one!!
