From the USA Today and Internationally bestselling author of The Club Series, Lauren Rowe, comes a sexy standalone romantic comedy: Ball Peen Hammer.

Keane Morgan wouldn’t return any of my calls or texts, and I was pissed as hell about it. I didn’t want to drive from Seattle to L.A. with the guy any more than he wanted to drive with me, but I had no frickin’ choice in the matter--at least, not if I wanted to use his brother Dax’s coveted parking spot at UCLA.

Okay, so it turned out Keane was objectively gorgeous, and, fine, pretty funny, too. But did he have to be so damned in love with himself? I mean, jeez, the cocky way he flashed those dimples was just so orchestrated. And, honestly, what kind of guy uses the phrase “baby doll” with a straight face? Oh, that’s right: the kind of guy who’s a male stripper.

Yup, the cocky jerk turned out to be Seattle’s answer to Magic Mike, a stripper known as “Ball Peen Hammer”--which meant Keane Morgan was emphatically not the kind of guy I’d ever fall for.

Not. At. All.

No freakin’ way.

Well, until Keane convinced me to fall for him, that is.

Which I did.

NOTE:Ball Peen Hammer is a full-length, standalone sexy romantic comedy about Keane Morgan (one of four Morgan brothers introduced in The Club Series) and Maddy Milliken (the little sister of Hannah Banana Montana Milliken). This book is a standalone book in The Morgan Brothers Series, a spin-off of THE CLUB SERIES, and can be read as a complete standalone. The Morgan Brothers books are intended to be read in any order.

Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

I’m officially a pickle that wants to jump out the jar and embrace the crazy that is Keane ‘peenie’ Morgan. That sexy little shit just rendered this nearly 40 year old speechless… and turn into a mushy pile to goo.

I don’t know whether to jump his bones or make him lasagne like his ‘Momma’ used to make, all I know is I totally adore him!

This book is the perfect, light-hearted, off-the-wall, bat-shit-crazy escapism I needed.

Being completely honest… at first I wasn’t sure. The very Americanised OTT Jock style dialogue didn’t sing to me in the first couple of chapters, and then it just clicked when an older Brother jumped into the conversation and I literally rolled. I will forever love Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum fuck for as long as I shall live. From then on this comedic offering proved that Lauren Rowe is truly a literary genius. I’m pretty sure she’s a young male testosterone infused jock disguised in a hot woman’s body, (I’ve met her, shes great) because how she managed to portray these characters in the manor she did was incredible.

It’s been a while since I’ve really laughed out loud reading a book whilst in the same breath been enamoured by a YA/NA storyline. I need to read more from this author because I LOVED this book.

Everything about it was sexy, fun and refreshing whilst holding on to those deep fundamentals that still make a person good inside. Both Keane and Maddy made this trip entertaining and I loved spending my Sunday with them both.

…I feel this is one fictitious family I could love the most.

Thank you Emma for being on my case about The Morgans, I regret not reading this sooner!

5 ‘Peenie’ Crowns

Straitlaced freshman Zooey Cartwright has arrived at UCLA determined to have a heck of a lot more fun in college than she did in high school. What’s the first item on Zooey’s agenda before classes start in two days? Losing her pesky V card. She’s definitely not looking for a boyfriend, so where can Zooey find the right guy to do the deed and move along without a backward glance? At a party thrown by a bunch of football players, of course.

Enter Tyler Caldwell. A beast on the field and off, cocky as heck, and often wearing T-shirts with sayings like “God’s Gift to Womankind,” Tyler is most definitely not boyfriend material.

After a make-out session with Tyler leaves Zooey entirely unsatisfied, she is determined never to see him again. But her schedule lands her in not one but two of his classes, and it doesn’t take long before Tyler is giving Zooey exactly what she wants—and a whole lot more she never bargained for. Can Zooey surrender her body to this bad boy without giving him her heart, too?

This book is part of the Misadventures series; a series that is a collection of standalone books wrote by an array of fab authors. You don’t need to have read any other book in this series, or indeed read them in order to enjoy this one.

Zooey Cartwright is heading off to College and the first experience that needs to be ticked is… Losing her V-card. Enter Tyler Caudwell, football star, and Mr. God’s Gift to Womankind. After a disastrous first effort to discard her virgin status follows 5 weeks of the “The Miseducation of Zooey Cartwright”

Will Tyler teach her everything he knows without her becoming a stage five clinger that slashes his tyres? Well you will just have to read it and find out.

I was lucky enough to meet Lauren Rowe last weekend. Having loved Captain and in particular Ball Peen Hammer, I gushed to her about how amazing they were. She promised me that I would LOVE this book, and man she wasn’t wrong.

If you have read any of Lauren’s books then you will know that she has the most engaging way of writing. Her characters are totally loveable, and the humour she weaves into her plots makes the story suck you in. I can’t put into words how much I adored this book. It has everything I love in a read, but the best thing, it has two characters that were so refreshing and for want of better words… damn bloody cute!!

If Lauren is a new author for you then this book is a great of way of popping your cherry (excuse the pun) I think it really highlights everything that I love about her writing. With humour, romance, hot sex, and a great storyline, you really won’t regret it!

Another MUST Read author for me.

From, Lauren Rowe, the USA Today and International bestselling author of The Club Series and Ball Peen Hammer comes a sexy standalone romance: Captain.
It wasn’t the way this kind of story was supposed to go . . .Insta-love isn’t supposed to turn into insta-hate.
But that’s exactly what happened when the hot-as-hell dreamboat I met in a bar turned out to be a lying, cheating scumbag-player-douche looking for nothing but a little side action. Jerk.
And he has the nerve to call me a liar and a “sociopath”? Assh*le.
And now, three months later, through a mind-blowing series of events I couldn’t have predicted in a million years, it turns out my boss is marrying his sister in Hawaii and I’ve got to play nice with him for an entire freaking week.
Okay, sure, I’ll put on a happy face this week and act like I’ve never even met the jerk before--did I mention his sister is marrying my boss?--but that doesn’t mean I’ll like it. And it certainly doesn’t mean I’ll stop secretly hating the cocky bastard’s guts.
Because I do.I hate him. I really do.
I just wish my brain would explain the situation to my body . . . because every time he flashes that panty-melting smile at me, it takes all my self-restraint not to jump the bastard’s hot-as-f*ck bones.

A standalone romantic comedy. If you are a fan of this author, you will recognise lots of the characters, however you do not need to have read them to fully enjoy Captain.

Tessa Rodriguez’s life is in 2 halves. Her professional life couldn’t be better. Being Josh Faraday’s PA is something that she has got down to a fine art over the last 6 years. However, her personal life pretty much sucks. Having moved to Seattle from L.A with her job, and coming off the back of a pretty disastrous (as it turned out) 2 year relationship, she is light on friends and experiencing a sex drought. So when she steps out of her comfort zone to dip her toe into the world of one night stands, she doesn’t expect to instantly connect with the most gorgeous man she has ever laid eyes on. Alas, as is her luck Ryan turns out to be just another, lying and cheating scumbag… or is he?

Ryan Morgan would love to settle down and have children with the right woman. So why is it that he always seems to attract the bunny boilers? When he unexpectedly meets a flight attendant in a bar one night, he thinks his luck might be about to change. And then an ex psycho goes and ruins it all. Or does she? Determined to track her down, he enlists help. Little does he know that his dream woman is much closer than her thinks.

Insta-love or insta-hate? Will Tessa learn to trust again? And will Ryan finally catch his whale?

This is my first Lauren Rowe book and I have to say I really enjoyed it. A complete unknown author to me, I read the synopsis of this book and just knew I had to read it. I am loving my romantic comedies at the moment and this book is just that.

What I loved most about this book was the array of characters. Now having not read her previous work, they were all new to me; that being said, I adored them. So I can only imagine how much more emotionally invested I would have been if I knew them that much better. I reckon that if you are a fan of The Club series or Ball Peen Hammer, you will feel like you are falling back in with a group of friends you haven’t seen in a while. The Morgan family are a hoot; their nicknames will have you laughing hard. But what makes this book even better is how she has balanced the comedy with the chemistry and the steaming hot love scenes. If I am being ultra-picky, I found that some scenes were a little overly long and wordy, but it didn’t take away from the fact that overall this is a great, light-hearted and fun love story.

So, whilst Lauren Rowe may be a new author to me now, she won’t be for long. I definitely liked Lauren’s laid back writing style and I will most certainly be catching up with Jonas, Josh and Keane’s story in the near future.

A fun summer romance for a day on the beach… Enjoy!!
