Book 2 in the Brewing Passions series. This book is very much a sequel to book 1, Tapped. For that reason, I highly recommend you read the brilliant Tapped before starting this one as it will give you lots of background on the characters.

Ross Hoffman no longer wants to be a third wheel. Having been introduced as the third in his best friends Austin Fitzgerald’s relationship with Evelyn, it is now becoming more difficult to share. It’s hard but he knows he needs to walk away, even if his heart is fighting it. So doing what he does best, he flees and throws himself back into his first love of beer brewing away from the only person he has ever loved.  But when his best friend calls, he has to return. Little does he know that this may lead him to a new love along the way.

Elisa Nagel is the new assistant brewer for the Fitzgerald’s. She is everything that Ross doesn’t usually like but is unable to stay away. Despite her spirited love of life, it is clear that life has broken her and that she hides many secrets. Can Ross mend her? And in doing so can he mend himself and find a love he never expected?

Liz Crowe has created a great sequel to Tapped. This book is very different and certainly covers much darker subject matters, but as you expect from this author, it is also full of humour, steam and real life situations.

I really loved Ross in this book, even though at times I could have punched him. We get to see a lot more of him and he is much deeper and is worth so much more than being a couples third, that’s for sure. Elisa, well she was certainly a colourful character in more ways than one. She hides her pain behind humour and sass and doesn’t trust easily. I liked her for Ross. He needed to have someone completely different to Evelyn and someone them that only wants him; he gets that with Elise.

So another great story from an author that always puts her unique twists on romance. Always well thought out storylines and characters with lots of depth to both. I now look forward to what may come in the future with secondary characters, she has certainly laid the foundations for stories to come.

If you are looking for something a little different, that embodies the term Real-life Romance. This series, indeed this author is a must read!

Book 1 in the new Brewing Passions series.

Everlyn Benedict is at the top of her game in the world of Craft Beer sales. But when an over privileged, rich, stupidly handsome brewery owner is thrust upon her for a day, she can’t hide her dislike for him or the situation. But Austin Fitzgerald is not at all what she expected and he doesn’t just charm the customers, but also gets under her skin. From opposites sides of the track, Everlyn and Austin find it hard to fight the mutual attraction that burns between them, soon finding themselves together despite the opposition from his overbearing family and an almost fiancé. As they get to know each other they open up that little bit more. But it is Austin’s tales of his time in Germany and his close friend Ross that really get them both thinking of what could be. But fantasies are just that… until Ross appears.

Will Ross be the link that forges the gap between 2 people from very different worlds? Which begs the question… Do the best things in life really come in threes?

I have been really looking forward to this book. It is no secret that am a huge fan of this author; in fact she is my most read author by far. But what I really loved when starting this book was knowing that this was going to be the start to a whole new world that she was creating. And if this book is anything to go by, it’s going to be another corker of a series.

Set in the world of Craft beers and the breweries that make them, Liz has created 2 characters in Everlyn and Austin that couldn’t be more opposite. Everlyn has had a tough and challenging upbringing. As much as she is independent, she is also stubborn and can be flighty to say the least. She is certainly intimidated by the world that Austin comes from and whilst that is understandable, it makes her a bitch at times. But as much as she is frustrating, she is totally balanced out by the understanding and loving Austin. He is trying to escape the shackles of his family and the money and power they have. In Everlyn he finds someone that shares his passions and love of the brewing business, someone that understands him. The only other person that has shared that with him is his friend Ross. So when Ross arrives on the scene, he adds another dimension to their loving, passionate and hot relationship. But this is Liz Crowe and she never navigates smooth waters. She will always show us the pros and cons to relationship rather than the hearts and flowers; and so ensues a relationship that will certainly twist and turn a plenty.

So it does end rather abruptly, but I think that is a masterstroke by Ms. Crowe. It has left me absolutely chomping at the bit for the next story which will delve more into Ross’s life. This in itself leaves me with loads of questions. I hope I don’t have to wait long to have them answered as I am eager to continue this journey, full steam ahead.

So if you want a sizzling hot MFM read that has a great storyline, well developed characters that are both frustrating and endearing, and a story that tackles issues that relate to real-life romance, this is a MUST READ book, indeed author.

This series by Liz Crowe has been amazing!  The depth that she has gone with each character, with each and every high and low this family experiences is a true work of art.

In Family Love, we get 2 main stories.  First is the almighty parents – Lindsey and Anton.  And we get a main focus on Angelique.  What I loved about this was it is like going back and watching your fave daytime soap opera that you have not seen for a few months.  You feel like you come home with all the characters and at the same time you get to find out new insights on them as well.  You get trips down memory lane, and deeper explanations on stories you already know and love.

Princess Elizabeth

Lindsey and Anton… holy moly!!  Now you just know that passion and drama run deep in the veins to have been able to have that DNA be part of all their children.  Those kids did NOT fall far from the Love Family Tree! Lindsey and Anton’s story give anyone of those kids drama a run for their money!  You grow up knowing your parents as mom and dad, but you never really get to know them as they were as young adults, fiery passionate lovers, and the true depths of emotions that only parents like the Love Monarchy would have survived.  You can absolutely experience the wrong decisions that mapped out their lives, and influenced the future Love generations… Truly eye opening and poignant to read it.

Then in-between that incredible journey, we get Angelique’s story.  I swear to god that I did not know whether to hug her or spank her! She would have tested the patience of God himself on one of her good days.  But on those days where she made epic mistakes and choices… even He would have cursed! lol How she survived and had a long awaited HEA is beyond me…but she did!

Besides getting these 2 riveting stories.. you get great polar views from the stories of the other Love family members.. and a scary, hang on tight get your big girl panties on story that involves the entire Love clan.  Seriously kept me on the edge of my seat and knowing that it was going to hurt!  But Liz is a master at her craft, and as much as she guts us with shock and awe… she heals us with beautiful moments.. and in the end.. The Love Family is just that… a family full of love!
